Mark Katzelnick is chief operating officer of the Operations and Services Group (OSG), a division of Fidelity Finance and Brokerage Operations (FFBO), which oversees the enterprise-level financial management of the firm as well as brokerage operations including technology, institutional operations and administration. FFBO is a division of Fidelity Investments, a diversified financial services firm that makes financial expertise broadly accessible to people investing their life savings, businesses managing their employee benefits and advisors investing their clients' money. Since 1946, Fidelity has been helping people live the lives they want through its customer-centered approach, innovative technology and investment solutions.
Mr. Katzelnick is responsible for all brokerage operations and services for Fidelity's institutional, retail and workplace businesses. In addition, he leads the Compliance and Risk Oversight management teams. Throughout his 17-year Fidelity career, Mr. Katzelnick has led numerous operations functions within OSG including executive vice president for OSG's Streetside Processing function with responsibility for International Operations, Security Master & Pricing, Margin, Securities Settlements, Mutual Funds Processing, and Collateral Risk. Previously, he led Asset Servicing and Securities overseeing Custody, Corporate Actions, Asset Transfer, Restricted Stock Services, Tax Services, Mutual Fund Reconciliations and Alternative Investments. He has also led Treasury, Account Management and Business Continuity Planning.
Mr. Katzelnick's career in financial services began in 1985 as a staff accountant for Arthur Andersen and Co. In 1988, he joined the Treasury department at Salomon Brothers responsible for bank relations and liquidity management. In 1993, he joined ING Barings as senior vice president of Firm Funding where he developed several finance products designed to diversify the organization's funding needs and increase revenue. He also built the function into a global organization with staff in New York, London, Tokyo and Hong Kong.
Mr. Katzelnick earned a BBA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He is the Chair of Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC) Advisory Committee and also sits on the Operations Committee of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA). Mr. Katzelnick holds Series 7, 63, 24 and 27 licenses.
